He pulled first, it was "Justified"!!
The show in itself isn't your typical crime scene investigator show. No no NO, this show is nitty and gritty and dirty. A modern day Tombstone about a renegade style U.S Deputy Marshal Raylan Givens. Right from the opening scene in Miami Florida you can tell Raylan is a take no shit from nobody kind of man. "I gave you twenty four hours to get out of Miami or I would shoot you on sight, you still got five minutes." Right as the button man of the Miami drug cartel unleashes his hidden gun to shoot Givens he is shot in the chest before he could pull the trigger. Raylan is quoted as being the number one gun fighter in all of Kentucky. Unleash that type of man on criminals and you may very well have the second coming of Wyatt Urp himself.
The story takes place just after Raylan Givens (Tim Olyphant) shoots hitman Johnny Bucks a man Raylan was suppose to take alive. Instead of losing his job he is transferred or as Raylan puts it exiled to his home Town of Harlan Kentucky to work for the Marshals down in Lexington. To which almost immediately Raylan finds himself embroiled in the case of his childhood friend Boyd Crowder. Crowder is in the beginning of the show an army vet turned white supremest who goes around blowing up churchs of colored people and Jewish people. Raylan becomes even more intertwined with his former friend when he finds out Boyd's sister-in-law shot and killed Boyd's brother Bowman an abusive man with a short temper. This one incident shows it ugly head many a time in the series, even bringing Raylan under attorney fire. Because he really can't help himself Raylan winds up sleeping with Crowder's widowed sister-in-law which is a BIG NO NO in his line of work.
Overall this show is amazingly acted and casted the cinematography is great also. The writing on the script gives it a tone and cultured style you could only find in the south. I highly suggest you go out and buy the first season on DVD or watch it on demand, you will not be disappointed.
