A simple yet satisfying review of Ben Affleck's The Town, another movie based in the city of Boston. The nitty gritty of this movie is this, Doug Macray (Affleck) is a career criminal who plans robberies. Having grown up in the Charlestown section of Boston, Macray learned his skills from his father, like the rest of the criminals of Charlestown. The movie revolves around a somewhat successful aftermath of a Bank Robbery in Cambridge, the crew of Macrey, Jim and the other two guys take the Bank Manager as hostage only to let her go. Doug follows the girl around to make sure she doesn't go blabbing to the FBI. While he watches over her and sleeps with her, he winds up falling in love with her.
This movie is overall very well acted and shot. The script is believable and the story draws you in so you care about the characters. Ben Affleck did a great job directing his second full length film. Since this movie is no longer in theaters I suggest you go out to your local store or mall and buy this movie, or rent it from where ever you rent movies.
