Less then one week to Superbowl XLV

We are closing in to the end of the Season, the NFL having made the decision to have the Pro-Bowl one week before the Superbowl. We have two teams who have multiple Superbowls under their belts. The Pittsburgh Steelers and The Green Bay Packers

Steelers Record this Season (Pre-Superbowl)
W:12 - L:4 - T:0
Superbowl Wins: 6 (IX,X,XIII,XIV,XL,XLIII

Packers Record this Season (Pre-Superbowl)
W:10 - L:6 - T:0
Superbowl Wins: 4(I,II,XXXI,XXXII)

Both of these teams have a long history of Winning Coaches and Seasons and even more seasons of heartache just like any other team in the NFL

Defensive Breakdown:
The Pittsburgh Steelers: have the number one rated Defense in the league. 1st in PTS and 1st in Rushing Yards allowed. With Their PTS Average for the Season being 14.5 PTS a game and only allowing 62.8 Rushing Yards a game and being 12th in the league for Passing Yards allowed at 214.1 yards a game which totals to an average of 276.8 Yards allowed a game. The fans call the Steeler Defense The Steel Curtain II which pays homage to the Steeler Defense of Old under the Leadership of Quarterback hall of famer Terry Bradshaw.

The Green Bay Packers: Ranked third in the League Overall defensively 2nd in PTS, 5th in total yards, 5th passing YDS, 18th in Rushing yards. Green Bay defense men have a lot of sacks this season.

Defensively this game is going to be Brutal for both teams. So pack your snacks and drinks and prepare for a low scoring heavy hitting game. Possible ways around this. IF the Steelers bring their A Running game the Packers will fall apart. IF Aaron Rodgers can keep his team offensively sound and passing while keeping Troy Polamalu in check (who has been a dangerous defensive weapon in the back field and switching it up to Front Field) The Packers may be able to score a decent ammount of points.

Offensive Breakdown:

The Steelers: Are ranked 9th overall on Offense, Ben Rothlesburger (Big Ben) Leads the Steelers with Confidence and knowledge but his protection while in the pocket is lacking, mainly due to Offensive injuries on the Line. Had The Steelers Offensive Line men stayed Healthy this season, I would have seen The Steelers with a Higher Offense Rank.

The Packers: Just like in Defense they are Ranked Third overall in the League, Aaron Rodgers is a sound and True Quarterback, and spreads out Rushing and Passing really well. The Offensive Line is pretty sound for the Packers but not unbeatable. As is any team, no team is unbeatable, it really falls to the Quarterback to keep the team Motivated.

Offensively This game is not going to be that great, It will really depend on who gains the most Momentum and who can lead their team better. Rodgers and Rothlesburger are great leaders for their teams. I just do not see this being a High Scoring Superbowl, I see it being pure defensive.

IF I HAD TO CHOOSE RIGHT NOW
I am going to have to go with the Packers, why because they have managed to stay healthy through out the season, If they can find away to get around the Steel Curtain II The Pack is going to win.

BUT I AM NOT CHOOSING RIGHT NOW

That is my thoughts, in the comment Section give me your thoughts on how you think Superbowl XLV will go down
